30% more exhibition space for a total of 39,000 sqm
Country pavilions help visitors find exhibitors faster

Nearly 900 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions have signed up to attend Intertextile Beijing 2007, one of the premier apparel textile trade events in northern China. The show runs 22 - 24 March 2007 at both the Beijing Exhibition Centre and the China World Trade Centre, with a free shuttle running between.

Intertextile Beijing is a leading apparel fabrics sourcing event in China, attracting domestic as well as international suppliers, buyers and visitors. The show features high-end to mass market textiles and accessories for menswear, womenswear, childrens clothes, swimwear and lingerie.

The 2007 show will feature 30% more exhibitors than in 2006, covering 30% more space - 39,000 sqm - spread for the first time across two venues. Besides textile and apparel manufacturers, the show attracts designers, import/export firms, textile and design technology manufacturers and industry publications. The show will include daily seminars and several trend forums.

To help visitors navigate through hundreds of booths, Intertextile Beijing offers a series of international country and region pavilions that group together suppliers from one geographic area. Pavilions will be set up from Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Thailand and Taiwan.

Italy will feature the largest pavilion with 51 exhibitors and 793 sqm, followed by Korea with 33 exhibitors in 504 sqm. The Pakistan pavilion returns for a second time this year. To give more visibility to the Italian pavilion, a special trends area has been set up by Ornella Bignami of Studio Elementi Moda. The installation includes a series of panels displaying fabric samples from the Spring/Summer 2008 collections of the exhibiting companies, selected and arranged according to theme, trend and respective colour palettes.

Domestic exhibitors will also have pavilions arranged by product, including: the Zhejiang Xiaoshan group, displaying manmade fabrics; the Zhejiang Shaoxing group with cotton, linen and embroidery; the Jiangsu Shengze group, with an oriental silk market; and the China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textile Association group, which will feature linen, denim and hemp.

Intertextile Beijing also features a look at the future of fashion in China and around the world through two special trend forums to introduce visitors to the budding styles for spring/summer 2008. The Interstoff Asia Directions trend committee has forecasted four themes for spring and summer 2008, which will be presented at the Interstoff Asia Trend Forum. Chinese fashion and design professionals will present a fashion forecast forum entitled Fabrics China, created by the China Textile Information Centre.

Intertextile Beijing runs concurrent to Yarn Expo Spring 2007, which will also be held at the China World Trade Centre. The show, which last year attracted 17,337 visitors, is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and China Textile Information Centre.
