Brazil's commerce and industry ministry said it has reached an agreement with the Chinese government which will limit 60 pct of its textiles imports from China until the end of 2008.

'China has agreed to limit exports of eight types of textiles to Brasil,' which represents 60 pct of imports, the ministry said.

The minstry added that China has not signed a similar import limitation agreement with Europe or the US.
