Intertextile Beijing 2006 opens in grand style

Intertextile Beijing – China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics & Accessories, organized by the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and China Textile Information Centre opened at Beijing Exhibition Centre on 28 – 30 March 2006.


Over 680 suppliers confirmed to take part, an 18% increase from 2005 Fair enhanced by a series of industry-related seminars 
 


 
Intertextile Beijing 2006, North China's leading apparel textile fair, opened yesterday at a time of high industry optimism. Expecting a strong buying mood, over 680 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions (an 18% increase from 2005) will introduce their latest apparel textile collections at the show, which will take place from 28 – 30 March 2006 at Beijing Exhibition Centre.

The fair will house a wide array of fabrics from all over the world from mid-range products for mass market clothing to quality fabrics.

Domestic exhibitors

More than 420 Chinese exhibitors will participate in the show including suppliers from the nation’s key textile producing regions; Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Chinese market leaders exhibiting at the show including Da Fa Cloth, Fulida, Shaoxing County Bolide Textile and Wuxi Xiexin.

Overseas exhibitors

Close to 260 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions make up the overseas group this year. Many foreign companies recognise, and wish to capitalise upon, North China’s strong and ever-growing demand for quality textiles. Big names such as Kufner of Germany, Lenzing of Austria, Coats of the UK, Ermenegildo Zegna from Italy and Schoeller from Switzerland will be present.

This spring, the show welcomes for the first time exhibitors from the Philippines, Spain and the USA. There will be seven national pavilions from countries including Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and for the first time Pakistan. With a total of 44 companies, the Italian group will be the largest national pavilion at the show.

Seminars

The organisers have enhanced the fair by scheduling a series of industry-related seminars. They will be conducted during the three days of the fair.

The programme includes Spring/Summer 2007 trends presentation by Chinese, Italian, Korea experts, products introduction by DuPont Sorona, Jianghe Tianrong-Soybean Protein Fiber and Richcel and talks on copyrights and trade policy issues.
