Yarn Expo Autumn — one of China’s most specialised yarn & fibre industry events has moved to an earlier date in August for the first time this year to give exhibitors exposure to a new market segment.

Running in tandem with Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles from 25 — 27 August 2009 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, suppliers can now benefit from a crossover of buyers from the two major textile events.

China — a marketplace rich with business opportunities for the textile industry

During Yarn Expo, thousands of textile manufacturers will be in Shanghai to attend Intertextile Shanghai Home Textile, one of the largest home fabric trade events in the region. Many of these exhibitors and visitors have a keen interest in sourcing upstream yarns & fibres for their home textiles.

In the face of growing competition from around the world, more and more Chinese manufacturers of home textiles are now focusing on producing high-end fabrics. This is a direct reflection of consumer demand in China for higher quality and better performance items, especially for products like bedding. As a result, fabric manufacturers will be sourcing higher quality fibres and yarns at competitive prices.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government has introduced a textile export refund increase to emphasize their pledge to help stabilise and maintain economic growth amidst the global banking crises.

Joining Yarn Expo will be an ideal business destination to enter the China market. Items on display at the 5th edition of Yarn Expo Autumn will feature natural fibres and yarns, including cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie; regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres and yarns; specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns and computer-related services.
In addition to the main exhibition, there will be a number of product demonstrations and company presentations for exhibitors and visitors to enjoy.

Yarn Expo is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry — CCPIT, China Cotton Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, China Chemical Fibre Association, China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association, and China Textile Information Centre.
