According to the data released on April 12 by World Trade Organization, China’s exports grew 27 percent in 2006, higher than all the other major trading nations.

Looking at the whole year of 2006, although China’s total exports were still behind Germany and the US, China overtook the US in the second half of last year.

It is almost certain that China’s annual export volume in 2007 will be higher than that of the US.

If maintaining the current growth rate, China is expected to exceed Germany in 2008, becoming the world’s largest exporter.
