Returning for its second year as an independent show, the yarn and fibre trade event Yarn Expo Autumn will run 21 - 23 October 2008 at the Shanghai International Convention Centre, Shanghai, China.

With nearly 60 exhibitors from around the world, Yarn Expo showcases yarn and fibre products set in 3,000 sqm of trade space.

The show will feature an even mix of products: 33% natural and blended yarns; 29% man-made and blended yarns; 23% natural fibres; and 15% for other types. Products are designed for use in home textiles, weaving and knitting.

Among the popular products returning to the show this year will be bamboo fibres, milk fibres, and metallic yarns. Many international exhibitors will feature in-demand cotton products, including new exhibitor Eurasia Textile, exclusive worldwide agent for 74 medium and large spinning factories in India. Other exhibitors will be coming from China, Korea, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan and Turkey.

Yarn Expo was separated into an independent show in 2007, breaking away from the world famous apparel textile event Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. The two shows continue to run at the same time and a free shuttle bus links the two. Yarn Expo was launched to provide a dedicated forum for buyers and sellers of this upstream segment of the production chain. Yarn Expo Autumn 2007 attracted 3,700 visitors from 59 countries and regions.

Yarn Expo features natural fibres and yarns, including cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie; regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres and yarns; specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns and computer-related services.
