Official statistics made by China Customs that China's total imp. & exp. value of foreign trade recorded U.S. dollar 795.74 billion in Jan. to June. 2006，posting a year-on-year 23.4%. Among them, export was 428.59 billion dollars, increasing 25.2%; while import was 367.15 billion dollars, increasing 21.3%.

And the statistics shows that China's total export value of textile and apparel from Jan. to June, 2006 reached 62.66 billion dollars taking up 14.62% of China gross export value of foreign trade. Among them, textile export was 22.97 billion dollars, increasing 19.3% compared with the same period of last year; and apparel & accessory export was 39.69 billion dollars, increasing 27.6% compared with the same period of last year.
